    Dress Policy

    Date: April 2006

At Penske, we strive to provide an atmosphere that is both comfortable for our associates and appears professional to our customers.

As a Rental Associate, you are the face to our customers, as well as other guests that visit our facilities. The impression we give them often influences how they feel about the company. It is therefore important that we always dress in an appropriate manner. The new Professional Wear Program for Rental Counter Associates affords you garment and color choices which meet our business dress standards. Traditional Business attire (shirt and tie) is always considered appropriate for special events and or customer meetings.

The following are a set of guidelines for use by our Rental Counter Team:

The following clothes are considered to be acceptable:

    • All shirts, blouses, sweaters, etc which are offered through the Professional Wear Program for Rental Associates from the Apex Advertising / Penske Authorized Apparel site
    • Casual slacks, pants, chinos preferably in colors such as black, navy, beige
    • Casual shoes

The following clothes are not considered acceptable:

    • Denim jeans (any color)
    • Cargo, Capri, low-rise, or any type of baggy pants
    • Shorts of any length
    • Any shirts, blouses, sweaters, etc. which are not offered through the Professional Wear Program for Rental Associates from the Apex Advertising / Penske Authorized Apparel site
    • Sneakers, athletic shoes, open-toe shoes and sandals

It is impossible to create an exhaustive list of acceptable and unacceptable items. Supervisory personnel will administer this policy and determine if an associates dress is appropriate. Associates who fail to comply with the policy will be asked by their supervisor to return home and change.
Any questions should be referred to your Human Resources Representative.
